Data Prediction by AI & other methods
This app allows you to predict, extrapolate and interpolate the given data by several methods, including artificial intelligence and machine learning. Linear regression quantifies the relationship between one or more predictor variable(s) and one outcome variable. Linear regression is commonly used for predictive analysis and modelling. Polynomial curve fitting is when we fit our data to the graph of a polynomial function. The same least squares method can be used to find the polynomial, of a given degree, that has a minimum total error. Fourier extrapolation/fast Fourier transform (FFT) is an algorithm that computes the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of a sequence, or its inverse (IDFT). Fourier analysis converts a signal from its original domain (often time or space) to a representation in the frequency domain and vice versa. The DFT is obtained by decomposing a sequence of values into components of different frequencies. Exponential smoothing is a time series forecasting method for univariate data that can be extended to support data with a systematic trend or, as in this app, seasonal component. Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average, or ARIMA, is one of the most widely used forecasting methods for univariate time series data forecasting. Although the method can handle data with a trend, it does not support time series with a seasonal component. There is an extension to ARIMA that supports the direct modelling of the seasonal component of the series in this app. Echo state networks (ESN) provide an architecture and supervised learning principle for recurrent neural networks (RNNs). The main idea is (i) to drive a random, large, fixed recurrent neural network with the input signal, thereby inducing in each neuron within this "reservoir" network a nonlinear response signal, and (ii) combine a desired output signal by a trainable linear combination of all of these response signals. Claims Management
Claims Management demonstrates how Mendix can be used to improve customer engagement and process efficiency. The B2C responsive web app helps guide customers through a claim process for vehicles or luxury goods. The claims app and quote and buy app are linked, via Data Hub, allowing you to claim on the goods and vehicles covered during the Quote and Buy Journey. It also demonstrates a multi-stage workflow, speech-to-text and a chatbot supported with AWS Lex.
Quote and Buy
The app contains an intuitive Quote & Buy Journey; including a quotation engine, a customer portal to revisit old quotes and policies, and an admin portal. The application is set up for both speciality insurance, high net worth items such as jewellery, collectables and paintings, and vehicle insurance. It also includes links to Google Maps, Google Vision for OCR and a VIN lookup API. The rating model for these products is built into the application but could easily call out to the Mendix Rating Engine or 3rd Party Rating provider.
Underwriters Workbench - Vehicles & Valuables
This version of an Underwriters Workbench was created in under a month with one developer. The types of products demonstrated in this Underwriters Workbench are Vehicles and Valuables, but like all Mendix apps, it is able to be modified to support other insurance products.
It also shows the application process and the management of a conversational approach to workflow allowing underwriters and actuaries to discuss the application.
Customer Onboarding
The Customer Onboarding app is designed to improve the customer engagement and process efficiency between agents and their clients. The B2C responsive web app helps register customers to their wealth portal, where they can manage their details, portfolio and documentation. On top of that, the app is integrated with DocuSign ensuring the whole process is digital and completely removes the need for physical paperwork.
Portfolio Manager
Portfolio Manager demonstrates how Mendix can be used to provide a great customer experience when it comes to personal Financial investment. The B2C responsive web app helps guide customers through the process of creating a new investment pot or investment portfolio. The Customer chooses a risk level and investment style, and based on this choice is given a different experience that ranges from having their investments fully managed by a broker all the way to the Customer having full control over the fund choices and each transaction.

Native Banking App
This Native app combines different types of technologies to deliver a user-oriented banking experience. It uses biometrics to access the app and once you are in you can see your current and savings accounts, you can transfer money between the two, get push notifications for your transactions, split a bill with a friend or request/send money directly from/to them, freeze your card, check the closest bank branches and navigate to them and finally ask the chatbot for anything extra you may need. It works nicely on both Android and iOS devices and is compatible with Light and Dark theme modes.
