Overview

Outsourcing of production processes to suppliers becomes more and more common in many industries. This creates new challenges in terms of logistics, operations and data flow between all stakeholders. The production company can easily loose material traceability as the supplier processing is quite often a “black box”. This template for the Mendix platform aims to solve this by integrating a supplier portal which helps to collect all relevant information of the outsourced process and gives full transparency of the suppliers status of processing and the quality. This app does this by interfacing ERP and MES systems on the manufacturers side and machine and quality data connection on the supplier’s side.
