Overview

Material handling and availability is very optimized over the complete supply chain up to the warehouse. This includes storage systems like FIFO (First In First Out), LIFO (Last In First Out) and also things like JIT (Just in Time) provision of the materials. When it comes to the management of materials which require special handling and preparation in the production, the processes are less optimized and digitalized which leads to less transparency about the available and prepared materials and with that to potentially more scrapping.

This template aims to solve this problem for materials which are easy to expire and / or require special treatment in order to be used. The app enforces expiry times, wait times and a strict FEFO (First to Expire First Out) policy. It also helps with mixing processes which might be required to prepare the materials for production. An interface to the WMS provides the system with relevant material lots and ensures that consumptions and goods receipts of materials are registered correctly.

The demo is applicable to all relevant industries and comes with demo data sets for electronics and F&B.
