The app contains an intuitive Quote & Buy Journey; including a quotation engine, a customer portal to revisit old quotes and policies, and an admin portal. The application is set up for both speciality insurance, high net worth items such as jewellery, collectables and paintings, and vehicle insurance. It also includes links to Google Maps, Google Vision for OCR and a VIN lookup API. The rating model for these products is built into the application but could easily call out to the Mendix Rating Engine or 3rd Party Rating provider.

The Customer Onboarding app is designed to improve the customer engagement and process efficiency between agents and their clients. The B2C responsive web app helps register customers to their wealth portal, where they can manage their details, portfolio and documentation. On top of that, the app is integrated with DocuSign ensuring the whole process is digital and completely removes the need for physical paperwork.
The Loan Portal demonstrates how Mendix can be used to provide a great customer experience when applying for personal loans. The responsive web app helps to guide customers through the process of applying for a loan, by first providing an indicative loan repayment calculator. The potential Customer chooses the purpose of the loan from a list and selects the loan advance and the number of repayments to repay the loan. The app displays an indicative APR and the calculated monthly repayment based upon the input values. If the Customer wishes to proceed with the loan application an account is created and personal and financial data is requested. Following a credit check the application may be automatically accepted, rejected outright or referred to an agent for approval.
The Underwriters Workbench is a basic underwriting and application system created using Mendix. Designed as both a B2B and a B2C web app it shows how to create a dynamic form and use generalization to cater for multiple insurance types (vehicles and valuables are included in this project). It also shows the application process and the management of a conversational approach to workflow allowing underwriters and actuaries to discuss the application.
Portfolio Manager demonstrates how Mendix can be used to provide a great customer experience when it comes to personal Financial investment. The B2C responsive web app helps guide customers through the process of creating a new investment pot or investment portfolio. The Customer chooses a risk level and investment style, and based on this choice is given a different experience that ranges from having their investments fully managed by a broker all the way to the Customer having full control over the fund choices and each transaction.
Claims Management demonstrates how Mendix can be used to improve customer engagement and process efficiency. The B2C responsive web app helps guide customers through a claim process for vehicles or luxury goods. The claims app and quote and buy app are linked, via Data Hub, allowing you to claim on the goods and vehicles covered during the Quote and Buy Journey. It also demonstrates a multi-stage workflow, speech-to-text and a chatbot supported with AWS Lex.

At all times you need to know what unique item is in inventory, on which shelf it is stored, if it is inspected, who checked it out last and how many are left. This app aims to reduce search times and enable more on-time delivery, it creates an increased transparency with up-to-date inventory status at all times and eliminate manual runs with dashboards showing where your items are stored in addition to improved security, allowing you to limit usage of specific items by specific users or user groups.
